It's been a rather dreary week weather wise so I've chosen a famous Beatles tune that celebrates the end of a long winter and the onset of spring. As the story goes, George Harrison wrote the song which first appeared on The Beatles 1969 Abbey Road album while he was at his friend Eric Clapton's country house. There was a lot going for the four lads at that time so it has been said that the meaning behind the words reflected George Harrison's appreciation for this small respite from the crazy goings on in the band's business universe.
This tune is a great opener for a fitness class. Its cheerful, optimistic and the prominently featured twelve string signature acoustic guitar played by George Harrison gives the song a light, airy and happy feeling that is undeniable. "Here Comes The Sun"....so simple but it says so much!
